About the Role
The Dean of Faculty – Science is a key academic leader responsible for providing both strategic and operational leadership across the Science faculty. The role is responsible for overall curriculum coherence, pedagogical quality and consistent assessment practices that align with the College’s strategic priorities and Teaching and Learning Framework. The Dean plays a critical role in driving improvement through effective use of data, evidence-based practice and strong professional collaboration.
Leading and supporting the faculty team, the Dean of Faculty - Science helps build teaching and instructional capacity through coaching and feedback, fostering a culture of excellence and a strong emphasis on student learning outcomes and faculty operations. Working closely with the Director of Teaching & Learning and other senior leaders, the Dean ensures that subject-level teaching and learning practices are aligned with faculty and whole-school priorities.
