Lauriston Girls' School is seeking an outstanding educational leader to join us as Deputy Head of Senior School – Academic Excellence and Growth. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to lead teaching and learning within the Senior School and work closely with staff and students to foster academic excellence, growth and aspiration across Years 7 to 12.

Reporting to the Head of Senior School, the Deputy Head of Senior School – Academic Excellence and Growth provides leadership for curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, reporting and academic achievement across Years 7 to 12. The role oversees the successful delivery of Lauriston's VCE and IBDP programmes and is responsible for ensuring high standards of learning, academic progress and student achievement across the Senior School.

As a member of the Senior School Executive Team, the position works closely with Heads of Faculty, curriculum leaders and the Deputy Principal – Learning and Innovation to strengthen academic programmes, build leadership capability and support the implementation of Senior School learning priorities. The role also plays an important part in curriculum development, academic pathway planning and fostering a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.

We are seeking a candidate with:

• A commitment to Lauriston's values of Relationships, Courage, Creativity, Intellectual Curiosity and Engagement in Life
• Demonstrated experience in educational leadership, with a strong background in curriculum, teaching and learning
• Significant experience with the VCE and/or IBDP and a sound understanding of contemporary assessment and reporting practices
• The ability to lead strategic initiatives that enhance student learning, academic growth and achievement
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing staff and academic leaders
• Strong capability in building productive partnerships with students, families and colleagues
• Experience using data and evidence to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
