Presbyterian Ladies’ College (PLC) is a leading ELC to Year 12 independent day and boarding school, focusing on the development of the whole person. The Role

PLC invites applications from qualified Library Technicians to join our wonderful College community in a part-time (0.53 FTE), ongoing position, starting late January 2027.

Be part of a welcoming, supportive Library Services team in a contemporary, well-resourced library that provides engaging resources, services and programs for our students and staff at PLC.

The Library Technician will be responsible for a range of duties that contribute to making the library a welcoming and inspiring teaching and learning space, including providing after-school library support to users, overseeing Department, Heritage and Stack Collections, and assisting with the cataloguing and processing of library resources.

This role is multi-faceted, requiring strong organisation, adaptability, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic school setting. 

This position works Monday to Thursday from 2pm – 6pm and Friday 1pm - 5pm during term time only.

 About You

Our ideal candidate will have a relevant Library qualification and proven experience in a similar role.

You have strong IT and library database management skills, as well as excellent attention to detail. Your warmth, enthusiasm, patience and service-oriented work style will be at the forefront of your interactions with students, teachers, and the wider PLC community.
